Donald O'Leary 52

"The 'all senior reunion' sounds like a great idea, but instead of another football game, how about a golf outing?"

David Holmes

Had a great conversation with David. These guys from the class of 1935 always have great enthusiasm and spirit. He plans to attend the senior reunion when plans are established.

Rear Admiral Ron Jesberg

"Ronald W. Lindemann. Born and raised on Staten Island, BS from Springfield College, Masters from NYU. Married with two daughters, both very athletic. He coached at Hastings from 1943-1960. His football record was 61 wins, 29 losses and 8 ties. He had 3 undefeated teams in 1944, 46, 49. He was coach of the year in 1949. Coach Lindy was one of the most respected educators on the staff at HHS. He was a "guiding force." His compassion, understanding, devotion and willingness to give of himself, inspired all students. He made sure he was involved with everyone and encouraged them to be the best they could be. His positive influence set a high standard." Coach had the type of personality and wisdom that made young people want to emulate him. He made boys and girls into young men and women. He was always fair, honest and had a great affection for all students, not just the athletes he coached. He called every young man in school "son," and ingrained in every student/athlete that winning was what life was all about, but not at the expense of poor behavior, poor attitude, boasting, taunting, bullying or insubordination. I played for coach Lindy for four years and can assure you he played a significant role in my life."
