The Dedication of the Ronald Wilson Lindemann Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2000

The showcase on the rear wall of the auditorium seems to radiate a presence of dignity and spirit. Perhaps it mimics the persona of the man it was dedicated to "Coach Lindy"

The dedication of this beautiful showcase was made to the school by "Coach Lindy's" daughters, Sue Staropoli '50 and Carol Studley '53.

To quote Bernie O'Brien, who spoke at the dedication, "Coach," as he was always known to everyone, not only in school but to everyone in the village of Hastings, arrived at HHS in 1944 as Teacher/Coach/Athletic Director, and retired in 1957. In a relatively short period of time, his impact on the lives of all students, not just the athletes he coached, was monumental. This project was made possible by the very generous donations by the former athletes and coaches, family and friends of "Coach Lindy."
